Exclusive Training Webinar:  "Finding, Recruiting, Hiring & Retaining Super Star Employees"

Hosted by the Georgia Urban Ag Council

Guest Presenter: Tony Bass, Founder of Super Lawn Technologies

Why is it so hard to find good people these days?  Why do so many new hires (that seem to have great potential), quit the job you gave them in just a few days or weeks? And for those employees that are sticking around, why can't they remember what you taught them yesterday, last week or last month?  Why do some employees seem to just “show up” for the check and never get motivated?

Tony's message for you is below. This will be a SUPER event. You don't want to miss it!

I recently asked 287 landscape business owners this question: "What's the single greatest challenge you face in your company today?"

By far...the #1 response...72% of the answers said “Employees”.
For some business owners it's finding them. Others say it's getting employees to work hard.  For many, getting new employees trained is the biggest challenge. Once you get them trained, well, many up and quit. 🙁

I want YOU to know...you can solve the employee problem with a series of step-by-step systems to find, recruit, hire and retain super star employees.  Let me explain.

I built up my lawn and landscape company to employ nearly 100 people and produce millions in revenue each and every year. Along the way, I took careful notes about what works AND what doesn't work solving the people problem.

On the webinar we will reveal:

  • The 5 biggest hiring mistakes most employers make & what to do about it
  • How to find employees using NEW TOOLS that allow you to pre-screen, pre-sort and pre-qualify lawn & landscape super stars
  • How to lower your cost for employees and stuff an extra $10,000 into your wallet per year
  • How much you must pay to keep the best people
  • And much more!

We recently locked the door with 50 companies and focused 8 solid hours on this content... I'm going to share the best of it with you.

Solving the employee problem can be the most liberating, confidence building, life enhancing and profit building activity you'll ever master. I'd like to teach you what I know and what I have taught hundreds of landscape company business owners.

I know the issues first hand.  I've been an employer since 1987.  I've made payroll for 1,404 weeks (and I'll do it 26 more times in the next 12 months).  And I SMILE each time I sign my employee’s paychecks. 🙂 That's why I'm writing you today.  Most employers don't smile when the discussion of employees starts.

It's not easy being an employer. There are competitors for employees all around. You have to compete with benefits packages, top pay & special bonuses to get good employees. Right? Wrong! You must learn how to talk about money, build a compensation strategy, & make hiring decisions. It’s not hard being an employer if you have a system to find, recruit, hire, & retain employees.

Your employees are quick to talk to other employees.  Yes, those inside your company... and those at your competitor's company. Hire a new guy at a pay rate higher than your best guy and see what happens next. You just made 2 people mad! But with the techniques I’ll share, you can end this mistake.

After the economy tanked, unemployment soared past 10%.  As employers, we were literally beating employees away with a stick.  Finding, recruiting & retaining employees was not a huge problem. But this has started to change.  And now...the employee challenge is back with a vengeance.  Recently unemployment has fallen to 4.9% and it may go lower! I'm ready to help you learn how to attract well qualified employees using the latest techniques. Guaranteed!

Count on learning a step-by-step system that will transform how you deal with (and profit from) your employees.  And...You’ll begin to see that employees are the most liberating tool inside your business!

Who is Tony Bass?

Tony Bass is a successful entrepreneur, inventor, author, consultant and speaker whose purpose and passion is helping green-industry small businesses achieve their fullest potential.

A 1987 graduate in Agricultural Mechanization at the University of Georgia, Tony founded Bass Custom Landscapes. Innovating business practices he shares with others today, he built a multimillion dollar enterprise and ultimately sold that business in 2006 for a significant seven- figure profit.

In part, this success traces to two U.S. Patents Tony earned for equipment he engineered to master efficiency in his landscape company. In 1998 these inventions lead to the introduction of the Super Lawn Truck™ system, an enclosed truck designed specifically for landscaping. With a tool storage system, patented ramp for loading equipment, hydraulic debris dumper and more, Super Lawn Trucks™ are in use in 40 states and Canada. Studies show that with the break-through vehicle, tasks that consume 568 hours per year using traditional methods, can be completed in just 84 hours, leaving 484 hours free to serve additional clients.

With recent improvements in load time and efficiency, Tony's products are once again helping green-industry professionals make the absolute most of their time. Currently, Tony operates SLT trucking and ramp businesses as well as a successful consulting firm under the parent company of Super Lawn Technologies.

In 1998, Tony authored "The Money Making Secrets of a Multi-Million $ Landscape Contractor," a three-book management, marketing and planning system for contractors. He also produced a number of audio and video training programs for the entrepreneur who wants to improve his business performance. Thousands of copies have sold, generating high praise, such as this from an Olathe, Kansas landscaper:

"Your books and CDs have been just what I needed to re-energize my business and life. In the last two months you have helped turn my company in a new positive direction, energizing me and my people, giving us hope. Thank you!"

Since then, Tony has written six books and training programs to help green-industry business owners, such as: 10 Marketing Secrets for Landscape & Irrigation Contractors (2001), Growing Your Landscape Irrigation, Tree Service or Snow Removal Business (2006), Preparing to Retire or Sell Your Contracting Company for Maximum Value (2006), 50 Ways to Find, Recruit, Hire and Retain Employees (2007) and Business Building Strategies (2008).

His most recent book, The E-Myth Landscape Contractor - Why most landscape companies don't work and what to do about it (2011) pairs Tony with six million plus international bestseller Michael Gerber, for an insiders guide on how to master the landscape industry.

Since 1999 Tony has worked with Vander Kooi and Associates leading seminars and working as a consultant with green-industry business owners on improving financial performance. To date, he has delivered more than 200 seminars to 25,000 green industry professionals, once again to rave reviews.

Explaining his focus on small business, Tony says, "I don't pursue big businesses. I prefer instead to help create them."

Tony works as an appointed volunteer on the University of Georgia (UGA) College of Agriculture advisory board, UGA Small Business Development Center Advisory Board and the Governor's Agricultural Advisory Committee. He also focuses on economic development at his local chamber of commerce and speaks to school groups about career opportunities in the green industry.

Tony and his wife, Jo Lynn, have two children, Holly Savannah and Maxx Anthony.
